One bedroom has a queen size bunk bed (very comfortable for adults still) and the other bedroom has 4 twin beds with one being a twin bunk bed and the 3rd/4th twin bed is a trundle. Also on the main floor is a fully equipped chef's kitchen with convection range, steam oven, kitchen aid blender, espresso machine and so much more. Radiant heat flooring throughout main floors. If you want a bit more heat, gather around a wood fired pot belly stove in the main family room that also has access to a huge outdoor deck that looks out to Lake Granby. Top floor boasts an unique master bedroom with a sitting room and a full bathroom with a walk in shower. Enjoy outdoor gatherings around the firepit situated amongst the professionally landscaped yard. At about 8400 feet, summers are cool in the evening; thus, there is no AC (bedrooms have fans). Outstanding cabin with beautiful views. The host was very responsive and helpful. The cabin was clean and well stocked, including all the cooking convenances. Each room was nicely decorated, and the beds were comfortable.

Gorgeous place
Words cannot describe the sheer beauty of this house. Its elegance astonished us. It came as a delightful surprise to learn that the floors were heated. It had all the amenities we could ever ask for, and even more. To our great joy, when we unintentionally left some of our things behind, the host promptly reached out to us and sent them back by mail. This was an experience unlike any we've had before. Without a doubt, we wholeheartedly endorse this house. This has been, by far, the most incredible vacation we've ever had.

Excellent
Our group of 6 adults and 2 kids loved our stay at this awesome home. If you are looking for the “mountain cabin” feel with a great view, this is it. Unlike many vacation rentals that can feel very hotel-like, this really feels like a home. There are plenty of games, books, and amenities that let you know this home is used frequently by its owners, and these owners have great taste. The location is perfect for exploring all of Grand County and everything it offers. Our kids loved climbing on the rocks and the adults enjoyed walking up the hill and along a waterway that feeds Granby Lake. If you spend time around the fire pit at night, you should expect a visit from a deer or two. We look forward to our next opportunity to return to this home for more relaxation and fun.

Gorgeous Views
Property was amazing and as described. The roof expands and contracts with the changing temperature and makes some loud sounds at night, but nothing that bothered our enjoyment of the place. Very clean cabin with three floors and an amazing main floor deck with views of Granby Lake. A couple of notes, the master suite is the entire third level with an amazing shower, but doesn't have a door separating from the main floor below. Also, the two balconies off of the master suite on the third floor has wide joists and the decking flexes to an uncomfortable level, so we stayed off of those balconies. The main deck was perfect and is where we preferred to stay anyways, so it wasn't an issue for our stay. We didn't use the firepit area but the space was spectacular for someone wanting to use it. Overall we were more than happy with our stay.

About the host

Grand Lake is a true four season town and a hidden gem (at least for now). We have traveled all over the world and we want to share what we often call our Chateau (yes we are French) in Grand Lake. This home has been lovingly renovated (yes that means DIY) and remains a getaway for ourselves and our families. We spared no details and are hopeful you will enjoy and care for the cabin.

Why they chose this property

This is a low key, non pretentious neighborhood and that is why we love it. Explore the authentic life of mountain living while being pampered with all the luxuries that you deserve while on vacation. The sunrise and sunsets from the huge deck make our morning coffees and evening meals that much more memorable.

What makes this property unique

This is a true log cabin that has been renovated with blood, sweat, tears, and love. When you arrive, you will notice that is so much more than just a place to sleep; but it's a home where you will fall in love with Grand Lake, Colorado.
