Rustic comfort, lodge-style vacation home for rent in the heart of the Black Hills of South Dakota. Centrally located in the middle of several area attractions such as: Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, The Badlands, Custer State Park, Devil's Tower, Sturgis, Bear Butte, The Needles Highway, Sylvan Lake, and many more. Can accommodate large groups.

Perfect for family gatherings, reunions, retreats and events. On 65 gorgeous acres on a private road with many trees and meadows. Fully furnished with 6 bedrooms, and 4-5 bathrooms. Camp fire pit, combination gas/wood grill, hiking trails, mountain bike trails, snowmobiling trails, cross-country skiing trails, etc. Pets (negotiable) outside only. Smoking outside only. 50th anniversary ❤️

This is a wonderful place. We so enjoyed our time there. Easy access to everything in the black hills. Our time at the house was relaxing. Kids put on a show on the stage downstairs , played in the play house, and had ample room to play on the yard. Love the deck so we're out every am and pm. Karla is a wonderful host. Can't say enough on how nice this vrbo is. Would highly recommend this place.

Slice of Heaven

I booked this property for our family get away with my 3 adult kids, spouses and 4 grandchildren. It was perfect for our group. Kids loved the outdoor play area and all the open spaces outside. Adults LOVED the privacy of their own rooms. The beautiful front and side porch was our favorite meeting space after seeing the sights of the day. So much to do within a short drive made this an ideal location for being able to do all the things and be back for a family dinner every night! It was a true blessing to be able to share this space. Thank you Karla for a wonderful week.

Beautiful and Spacious!

We had 17 family members staying here and there was enough room for everyone to have a comfortable place to sleep. The stage area and loft are great for extra sleeping room. The little kids loved the playhouse and slide and all the room to just run around. Karla and Chuck are great hosts who will respond to questions right away but don't bother you otherwise. The kitchen is well stocked for making family meals and large enough for everyone to gather. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful cabin near Rapid City

We were very happy with this cabin. We were 6 girls having a reunion. We each had our own bedroom and the kitchen is outfitted with anything you would want. There was a freak spring snowstorm while we were there but the owners were helpful in every way. The greatroom has a log burning fireplace and there was plenty of firewood. This property is convenient to Mt. Rushmore and most of the other things to see while in the Rapid City area. We were all happy we chose this cabin. The owners were very accommodating and helped with problems associated with the snowstorm.

Awesome!

Our family rents a vacation house somewhere every year, and we all agreed this was the best one ever! The house was perfect for our needs--lots of rooms, big kitchen, gorgeous surroundings, and a wonderful path around the property. It is tucked away on a beautiful, private piece of property but close enough to all the things we wanted to do. A family member had been concerned about the owners living on site, but that was no problem at all. They were unobtrusive but there to answer questions and give suggestions on hiking/biking, etc. They were great hosts. The house is surrounded by a big porch and has a couple of grills (propane and charcoal), which we made use of one night. The only thing I would suggest is a screen on the back door off the kitchen. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

So roomy and comfortable!

Our family of 15 stayed at this beautiful place in the mountains while vacationing for a week. We were surprised at how large the place really is.....the pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen had ample room for us all to move around in without bumping into each other much. The front porch was a great gathering place in the early morning while we waited for everyone to get up and moving. The bathrooms accommodated us all when it was time to shower and the extra toilet rooms were great! We did bring our own fans to add to our bedrooms and was surprisingly comfortable without air conditioning. Luckily the low humidity levels help! The paths around the place helped run some energy off the little ones. We felt right at home and Karla was so friendly and helpful when you needed her. We loved spending family time together in their home....we could tell family was important to them also.

We needed a place to stay in the Rapid City area for us, our children & spouses and our grandchildren to attend a wedding. We decided to turn it into a family vacation also to see as many sites in and around the Black Hills area that we could. Karla and Chuck provided the perfect setting for our family to gather. Their home has all the bedrooms and space we could have hoped for in one place. The kids absolutely loved the fort and the hammocks!! There was not one aspect of our stay that we were unhappy about. Ample bedrooms, showers, eating space, cooking space, hanging out space yet plenty of space if anyone wanted or needed a little quiet self-time. Don’t even get me started on the outdoors and location!! Walks in the woods were enjoyed by many!! And the beautiful landscaping was peaceful to take in while enjoying a cup of coffee on the expansive porch in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening!!The hosts were fabulous to work with and enjoyable to chat with!!I would definitely recommend a stay here!!Thank you Chuck and Karla for sharing your Heavenly Hills with others!! Beautiful property and home

Enjoyed our stay; beautiful property, enjoyed evening walks through the woods, and plenty of space for kids to run around outside. One of the days reached 102 degrees, but the house stayed cool, even without AC.

Friends Reunion

There were five couples who have known each other for over 40 years. There home and property were perfect for us. Karla greeted us and showed us around and was available if we had any questions. The beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of outdoor seating. We fell in love with her cat, Twitch, who showed up every morning and evening (outdoor cat). There are deer and other wildlife on property, which we loved seeing. We would rent from the Becklers again

Gorgeous and relaxing retreat

The home and property are absolutely gorgeous, everything was completely as described. We had 5 couples and one single guy and had plenty of room for everyone. We primarily picked the home due to its location, it is centrally located for all the motorcycle rides that you want to do in and around the black hills area. We are already planning our next trip to the black hills (may not be next year) but this will be our first choice for our group.

Beautiful Black Hills Property

I can’t say enough about this location, it was beautiful and more than enough room for our family of 10. Karla the host was very responsive when we were in communication. We loved the 20 mile ride up through the hills and the road straight to the home, gave us our outdoor experience that we do t get to experience back home. We dod come in late July so the weather was a little warm which we are used to but not so much without central air. The provided fans did help though. Centrally located to do all of the touristy things! I’ve had so many family and friends reaching out for the information for future bookings. Our family would definitely recommend this home to anyone planning a trip to South Dakota.

Escape from the hustle and bustle

This property, home, and owners is epic! The pictures do not do the location and views any justice. Wildlife every morning, secluded from anything but God's country. No highway sounds or neighbors prying. Just serenity. Karla and Chuck were wonderful hosts. Lots and lots of room inside to create your own little hubs of entertainment. Whether on one of the 3 porches, or various, spacious inside entertainment areas. It also helped to be the most well stocked and largest kitchen we've every stayed at - creating some amazing large meals. Fantastic Time! For those looking to explore the Black Hills - this is an easy starting out point to get to all corners of the park, easily accessible right from the front door to all of the best trails!

Wonderful family stay

We visited with a large family group. There was plenty of room for everyone, a very well stocked kitchen and lots to do in the area. Karla was a responsive host who also respected our privacy. The camp fire pit was a big hit with our group and we loved seeing deer and turkey on the property.

Anniversary celebration

Walked to the top of the Crazy Horse monument for our 50th. Took in all of the sites from a very nice central location. The house had plenty of space for all 8 of us and great privacy too. The hosts were great. House had a well equipped kitchen and we used it often. If you need a big place, don’t hesitate!!

Very lovely

Our group of 9 were very comfortable with our stay. Enjoyed the privateness of the property. We were on motorcycles and were glad to be able to have a garage. The compacted gravel road up to house was a little concern but we had experienced riders in our group.

Comforts of home in a beautiful, secluded spot

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious, cozy home. There was plenty of room for our family of 8 and it was extremely well equipped. The house is full of love and memories, and the secluded property is gorgeous. There is plenty of quiet space, yet it is close to many of South Dakota's parks and attractions. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We would gladly stay here again!
