Check-in was easy. Everything was exactly as described, and the place was very clean. Communication with the hosts was great. We loved the location!! We were close to the beach which was very convenient, and we loved that the cottage was dog friendly. It is a nice, quiet neighborhood-perfect for relaxing!! Lack of A/C and no ceiling fans made the bedrooms very warm at night.

Thank you for the feedback. Air conditioning is not advertised as an amenity for this property. If climate control is important for your stay, we'd recommend selecting a property that includes this feature. We appreciate you choosing us.

The place was very clean but dated. The check-in process was very easy. The kitchen was functional but could have used a larger frying pan to cook breakfast more efficiently. There is no AC but there were fans. I would recommend bringing a few more fans, especially if staying during the hot summer months. My stay was during 3 consecutive 90 degree days. The extra fans we brought, really helped. Overall, I had an excellent stay.

Kenneth, so glad the check-in was smooth and you had an excellent stay overall! Thanks for the tips on the frying pan and bringing extra fans for the warmer days — really helpful for future guests... Unfortunately, the windows don't allow for window ACs... Glad the fans you brought made a difference during those hot days. Hope to host you again soon!

We had a wonderful stay at this beach cottage! The location was perfect—a quick walk across the street to the beach, making it easy to come and go throughout the day. The cottage was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and absolutely adorable—so cute inside and out!The owners were exceptionally responsive and went above and beyond to make our stay special. We were celebrating a birthday, and when we needed a handheld mixer to make a special dessert, they brought one right over. That thoughtful gesture meant so much. The outdoor heated shower was an unexpected bonus and one of our favorite features after a day at the beach. We will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for the quintessential York Beach getaway!

Great location and host!

The property was clean and comfortable. Host was easy to work with, communication was clear and timely. It was a perfect location. We could even see the ocean from the front porch. Very easy walk to the beach, closer than we thought. You can also easily walk to get breakfast, a convenient shop, or several restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

The cottage was great. Clean, simple, basic accommodations, nothing fancy but had all we needed. The location really is the star, can see the water and Boon Island Light from the screened in porch. The beds were very comfy, despite being pretty loud when turning over or getting in or out of bed. The kitchen was well-appointed, no dishwasher, we brought paper plates to cut down on post-meal chores. Overall a great week was enjoyed by our family and puppy.

Kristin, thank you so much for sharing this lovely review! I’m really glad the cottage gave you exactly what you needed for a relaxing week — simple, clean, and all the essentials. And yes, that location is truly the star… being able to see the water and Boon Island Light right from the screened porch never gets old. Thank you as well for the feedback on the beds and kitchen setup — that’s really helpful, and we’ll keep it in mind as we continue improving the space. It makes me happy to hear your family (and your pup!) enjoyed a great week there. You’re welcome back anytime! — Anca, KMA Property Group

Perfect!

We stayed here with our family of 6 for 5 nights. (2 adults, 2 teens, 2 kids). The cottage is clean and simple but includes everything you could need. There was plenty of space for everyone and we loved the front sitting area for morning coffee and evening reading! It is just steps away to the beach. We loved our stay here and would love to come back next year!

Cute beach house

We stayed in mid-October for a wedding. Front porch has amazing sunrises and retains heat during the day in the off-season. Close to lots of amazing things including the beach (front yard). Hosts were easy to contact. There is a mandatory third party damage waiver as an FYI. Would stay again! Thanks!

August Vacation

Loved how close to the beach it was and the view of the ocean from the enclosed porch, also pet friendly is a huge plus. Dislikes: dirty shower, dirty/dusty ceiling fans, no outlets by the bedroom windows to place the fans by, no outdoor shower or outdoor hose to rinse off with, overwhelming musty smell when humid.

Location is everything

The location is perfect. The house is clean and meets basic needs. As other people mentioned the beds are very noisy. We have stayed here 2 years in a row and did not have an issue without air conditioning until our last day. It was unbearably hot and humid in there all day and night. Box fans are provided but if the whole week was hot I don’t think we could have managed.

My family and I recently returned from a wonderful stay at your rental property, and I wanted to share our overwhelmingly positive experience. The location was truly exceptional – a stone's throw from the expansive, pristine beach, offering immediate access to breathtaking sunrise walks and invigorating ocean breezes. We especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided; everything felt meticulously considered and contributed to a genuinely relaxing atmosphere. The comfortable beds ensured restful nights, and the spotless cleanliness of the property was truly remarkable. Our furry companion thoroughly enjoyed his stay as well. This made the vacation even more special, allowing us to enjoy the beach together as a family. We were particularly impressed by the responsiveness of the owner and hosts. Their prompt attention to our inquiries demonstrated a remarkable level of dedication to ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. Waking up each morning to the serene ocean views from the sunroom was an absolute highlight; the perfect way to begin each day of our vacation. In short, our stay exceeded all expectations. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful property with us!

Great location Needs Some Updating/Maintenance

Dog friendly and owner allowed me to bring my GSD even though over the weight limit. Nice little cottage, private setting, peaceful but in need of some updated touches and features. A couple things noted- the stove top front right burner isn’t working properly. I tried and made sure it was pushed in /connected properly but still couldn’t get it working beyond a low setting. I did not contact the owner since two other burners work during my short stay. The front outside light didn’t work. The beds are notably nosey when going to sit on it or move in the night. I tried the other beds and they have the same issue. I’m a heavy sleeper but it would wake me up every time I moved or adjusted.I really appreciated the towels and linens being included, that saved a lot of packing! Also, appreciated the paper items too and the coffee items. Those are nice little touches that go a long way. Everything else was nice and as expected. The location is fantastic with a hint of privacy feel with the backyard wetland area. Very peaceful.

Breanne, Thank you so much for your thoughtful review — and I’m glad we could welcome you and your GSD! We’re always happy to make exceptions when we can, and it’s great to hear you enjoyed the peaceful setting and privacy. I really appreciate you pointing out both what you enjoyed and what needed attention. Good news — both the outdoor light and the stove burner have now been fixed. Your heads-up helped us catch those quickly, so thank you! We’re also looking into the bed frames to see what can be done to reduce the noise and improve comfort for future stays. I'm glad the towels, linens, and coffee items made things easier — we try to make packing and settling in as simple as possible. And yes, that private backyard and quiet vibe really are something special. Thanks again for staying with us — we’d love to host you again anytime!
