Welcome to the newly remodeled River Shack. Unwind in Howard at this cool cabin. With 1 bedroom, AC, and WiFi, this pleasant retreat offers a cozy escape for guests. The cabin sits on an acre of land with 70 feet of PRIVATE Arkansas River frontage. Fish the day away from your own private shore or just lounge by river and listen to the river flow. The river access is a short walk down the driveway or take the path behind house. This small cabin boasts a comfy Queen bed, stocked kitchen and full bath.
There is plenty of parking for large vehicles, RVs, trailers, rafts, paddle boards, etc. A great place to call homebase while you're away, we hope you enjoy your stay. Pets are allowed but must be declared upon booking and a $25 per pet per stay is a required payment.
Entire house is yours for your stay. To use the private river frontage just walk down the gravel drive or drive your car down to river where drive turns left, stay straight there and pull up near the picnic table.
The 70 feet of river is marked by an old wooden chair and you’ll see a wooden picnic table and two plastic lounge chairs. Our frontage is all the shore between the tall wooden fence on right and a house on left with copper roof. There are large rocks on each side of property line.

This property was so lovely and well-outfitted, especially for a small place. Often rentals allow pets but make you feel unwelcome for bringing them - but this one had dog toys at the property! It's a beautiful area, the host was very responsive, and my spouse and I (and the dogs!) loved our stay.

We enjoyed our stay here so much. The place is nice and cozy and very dog friendly. We enjoyed the extra surprises for them! The instructions provided by the host were very easy to follow. The view out windows are stunning! River access was a little further than expected but just down a little road that was close enough. We highly recommend this rental. We rented this place for the ushers that were part of our daughter’s wedding at Howard Creek Farm. The location is great, so easy to get to from the venue, with lots of parking. The house is compact but works great for 2 people. It is nicely done, with air conditioning, a nice kitchen and bath. The host communicated well and responded quickly. This place was perfect for our needs.

The cabin was perfect for our visit to the area- two adults and two dogs. It is small, as listed, but had everything we needed and plenty of beautiful, outdoor space. Space was clean and comfortable. From the pictures, we thought the river was a little closer and the cabin was farther from the highway. It was not a problem, though. Traffic is not heavy during sleeping hours and the short walk to the river ended up being a blessing. Dogs loved going on their daily walk to the river. We would reserve again.

What a cute place! Just the right size and with all the amenities we needed.Jamie was communicative and available if needed. Highway noise can be slightly distracting but it wouldn’t prevent me from staying here again.We didn’t travel with any pets, but the cabin is very pet friendly. There were dog towels, dog toys, a water dish outside and a long line down by the river in case they want to wander.
