About this property

North Shore Tiny Log Cabin + BunkHouse Retreat

Wake up to Lake Superior. Fall asleep under the stars.

These hand-built tiny cabins aren't just a place to stay — they're a destination your family will talk about for years. Every detail is intentional, every corner cozy.
The Log Cabin, crafted from timber harvested right on the land in the early 1900s, this authentic 450 sq ft retreat has been a beloved family escape for generations. Sleeping up to 2+ in a master suite with a custom built bed built into the window, an adorable window nook and a cozy reading loft accessible by ladder. The full kitchen features a four-burner gas stove, stainless fridge, and a folding table that seats six. After a long day on the shore or on the slopes, sink into the gorgeous iron clawfoot tub with unlimited hot water.

The Bunkhouse, just across the driveway from the main cabin, takes the experience to another level. This stunning Scandinavian minimalist retreat sleeps four in a queen bed and two bunk beds, but the real showstopper is the living room: an oversized sectional that frequently seats 8 in a space made for gathering, anchored by a Drolet Atlas wood-burning stove with a built-in oven we use for slow cooking dinner or baking desert over the fire. While The Bunkhouse has no running water, it does include a bathroom with a waterless incinerating toilet, so you don't need to venture out into the cold winter snow to use the restroom in the middle of the night.

Outside, you'll have access to a fire pit surrounded by adirondacks and outdoor couches with views of the lake, fire up the four-burner propane grill, and unwind at the end of a long day in a brand-new ultramodern mirrored glass sauna.
Together, these two cabins comfortably sleep 6+ guests in a totally unique and memorable accommodation for you to recharge after your North Shore adventures.

Perched half a mile above Lake Superior's shoreline, you're minutes from waterfalls, hiking trails, state parks, and the rugged beauty that makes the North Shore unforgettable. This is your home base.

Note: The property is currently undergoing improvements to make your future stays even better. No work will take place during guest stays, though some equipment or materials may be visible on the grounds. The Log Cabin itself is fully complete and unaffected. Questions? We're happy to chat before you book.
If you are interested in renting ONLY the Log Cabin and not the BunkHouse included in this listing, please see our other listing which excludes the BunkHouse.
