Everything was amazing. The only thing that was missing is larger bath towels! It was clean, well appointed and the view and hot tub were great. The kids really enjoyed their time in the "playroom" in the basement as well!

Wonderful stay with friends

We loved the tranquility and comfort of the house. The seclusion allowed for a quiet and peaceful getaway. The home had all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay. The view is spectacular and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. Great area for hiking, swimming, and sightseeing.

Relax and recharge!

Wonderful stay at the Timber Riverhouse. If you like privacy and the sounds of nature around you, this home is ideal. Everything in the house is state of the art and it has everything you'll need. Wonderful views from the deck and lots of woods to hike in. The hike to the river is challenging but worth it. Lots of other hiking in the area. Will definitely be back!

Perfect getaway weekend - gorgeous house and property

My friends and I had an awesome weekend staying here. The house itself was gorgeous - the view was great, interior design and feel were cozy and beautiful, and we had a lot of space. The showers were a favorite among the group. We did several hikes and swam at a swimming hole, all on the property. It was also within driving distance of other awesome hikes too (waterfalls, etc.). The hosts had a lot of helpful information and suggestions about the area and things to do. We will definitely be back!

Relax and Reenergize!

Our stay at the Timber Riverhouse was amazing! Vacations for us are all about the outdoors and this home did not disappoint. The house was beautiful with lots of wonderful features like the solid beams, spiral staircase, comfy beds, fantastic deck, and even a hot tub! Spent hours on the deck reading and most of the rest of the time hiking down to the river and around the area. Towns are an easy drive away for those who like eating out, but the kitchen was fully equipped for cooking in (our preference). Nothing disturbed the sounds of nature around us, and the views are wonderful. We will definitely be back!

The place was in great shape - everything was as pictured online. Just beautiful. It was historically cold while we were there so we did not get to explore outside much, but even in 0 degree temps the hot tub was welcoming (with winter hats on!), and the wood stove was amazing and kept it very cozy on the main level and for the lofted bedrooms. The basement level bedroom stayed plenty warm with the heat pump, but the small den/game room down there and the bathroom were hard to keep warm. We also don't think we ever figured out how to use that downstairs bathroom thermostat because it kept resetting to 57 or so.In any case, we were very happy. The place served the 6 of us really well. We'll definitely be back. Thank you!

Gorgeous country home

This is a beautiful property. Modern, clean, and full of amenities. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Beds were super comfortable . The showers and tub were luxurious. The deck was our favorite spot, situated perfectly for both early morning coffee ( wake up for sunrise) as well as evening cocktails. The view of the reservoir and the sights and sounds of a variety of birds made it 5 star. Be aware that getting to bedrooms requires either going up or down a spiral staircase. May be tough if you have mobility issues.

Your description truly captures the special experience this property offers. Thank you also for sharing the note about the spiral staircase—it’s helpful information for future guests with mobility considerations. The house was beautiful, gorgeous views, very comfortable beds. I took points off because one of the main marketing points of the house is the trail to the river and that was something I was looking forward to. During my stay the trail was extremely overgrown. Knee length grass and weeds covering the trail (and during tick season). My friends and I attempted to walk down but decided not to because it was truly not cleared or maintained. It’s disappointing because I can tell from reading the guest book that that was something many other guests have enjoyed.
