Well equipped. A bit of a walk to shops and restaurants, 10 or 15 minutes tops, but that put it in a quiet residential neighbourhood, which was perfect. Small problem with the water temp in washer that the owner will need to look into, but it did work fine. Not a fancy place, but the location worked well for us and we had everything we needed. I'd rent it again.

Glad you enjoyed our cozy quiet cottage and happy that we were able to make it available for you to check-in early. Apologies the cold washer setting was not the icy-cold you expected, turns out LG washers mix a bit of warm water in cold-wash settings, to ensure powder detergent fully dissolves. Safe travels home!
The house is conveniently located and is a short walk to town. With 3 bedrooms it would comfortably fit a group of 4-5 people. The host also provides a lot of good material to help with planning hikes and activities in Acadia.

Glad you enjoyed everything Cheryl. Thanks for being great guests!
The host was excellent with communication. The property was clean and as described. The location was quiet and walkable. The farthest part of town was approximately a 20 min walk.
Mary and Kyle’s cottage was an excellent place to stay for my trip with my fiancé to Bar Harbor. The cottage was conveniently located at the edge of town allowing for an easy drive to many popular locations on the island within 10-15 mins, including Ocean Path or Jordan Pond. It was also a 5-10 minute walk to town. The cottage itself was quiet, clean, and spacious. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots and pans. Quick note: If you do plan to cook, buy some spices and oils before heading onto the island. Communication with Mary was quick, easy, and efficient. During our stay Mary was very helpful, especially when we were having trouble with the front door upon our arrival. Instructions for check in and check out were easy to follow. The cottage was an excellent place for us and if we are ever back in Acadia we hope to stay there again!
Great distance from Bar Harbor downtown- we walked everywhere. Great location to Acadia. We were able to park easily and walk the trails. Residence was very clean and had all needed amenities. We appreciated having fans available for all rooms to stir the air.
My mom and I had a great stay here. It was a nice and close to downtown and to Acadia. Thankful for a quiet cottage to stay at for our time in Bar Harbor!
Everything was seamless and the host was attentive. We had no issues while we were there so no communication was required but the communication leading up was great.
We had a lovely stay here, visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The location is perfect! The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed.

Thanks Danielle, we are so glad you enjoyed the cottage and all the park and our island has to offer. Best-Marie
Excellent location! Comfortable home in quiet area of Bar Harbor. Had the basics — a roll of TP, a roll of paper towels, dish soap, hand soap. Everything else you need to provide (Kleenex, bath soap, salt/pepper, sugar, etc) so plan accordingly. Communication with owner was great.
This home is in a great location if you’re looking to hike Acadia. Entrance is super close. The home is also walking distance to Bar Harbor shops and restaurants. House was very clean and cozy. Marie was an excellent host. I would recommend staying here!

Charming place, wonderful location!
This was a great home base for our family of 4 to enjoy Bar Harbor and Acadia. Easy driving distance into the park and walking distance to Bar Harbor for dinner. Very pleasant and comfortable cottage, and responsive host. It was convenient to have the BBQ to make dinner, and the washer/dryer as well.

Thanks for the kind words-the grill definitely comes in handy on warm summer nights. Glad you enjoyed your stay!
We stayed for a week the end of October and couldn’t have asked for a better location. The kids loved the close park and we all loved the short walk to downtown Bar Harbor. Owners were quick to answer any questions or address any (minor) problems that we had.

We have lived in Bar Harbor for over 30 years. Marie began working at the Jordan Pond House during summers, earning money to pay for college. After traveling to France to visit family, a road-trip across the United States, and finishing graduate school she moved to MDI for good. Kyle came to Acadia after graduating from college in the South. He planned to work in different national parks across the country. After working in Glacier National Park in Montana, he headed to Acadia for one season, where Marie and Kyle's paths finally crossed. The rest is history! We feel lucky to call this amazing place home, and could not imagine raising our family anywhere else.
Why they chose this property
This property is close to everything wonderful about in-town Bar Harbor, but still quiet and residential-the best of both worlds. You can sleep with your windows open and smell the ocean when you wake. It is modern, clean, uncluttered, and filled with all the amenities you'll need to make your stay relaxing. We have a personal and professional knowledge of the park and MDI, and would love to share our favorite spots to enjoy the park and island with you.
What makes this property unique
You won't find an easier, more convenient place to stay in Bar Harbor, if you are a family or a couple! You can walk to the Great Meadow Path right from the cottage, or hop in your car to access the Park Loop Road in 5 minutes, at the end of our street.
