About this property
Just Off Grand Lake on the North Inlet; Gorgeous View overlooking the Rapids
Cabin 23 in Lemmon Lodge is available for rent after Memorial Day weekend through mid-September. Please check the calendar for dates that are not yet reserved.
Note: You may have noticed elsewhere that our cabin is sometimes referred to as Cabin #28. While our cabin has always been No. 23 (since 1991), a “re-plat” of Lemmon Lodge (that required the approval of the Town of Grand Lake) changed its "platted identification" to No. 28. Nevertheless, for reasons of continuity and tradition, the owners have decided that this cabin will remain “No. 23” for rental purposes.
DESCRIPTION
Two-story log lodge with two decks and breath-taking views overlooking the Tonahutu (North Inlet) rapids – within view of, and a 2-minute walk away from Grand Lake – the largest and deepest natural lake in Colorado. Large bay window and sliding glass door offer great (and relaxing) view of the North Inlet just feet away. All wood interior and four full-size bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed. Living room and upstairs family room, each with TV, DVD and a queen-size sofa bed. One full bath with tub and shower, plus 2 bathrooms with showers. Large kitchen with island, counter seating, wall oven, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. Free internet with wifi. Entire cabin was recently re-carpeted.
Situated in family friendly Lemmon Lodge, this meticulously maintained cabin is within short walking distance of downtown Grand Lake, yet quietly insulated and nestled among the surrounding lodge pole pines. Plus, you’re only ten minutes away from the majestic beauty and spectacular scenery of Rocky Mountain National Park. Enjoy the clean, crisp air, numerous activities and unmatched relaxation of one of Colorado’s premier vacation spots!
The town of Grand Lake was originally an outfitting and supply point for the mining settlements of Lulu City, Teller City and Gaskill. By the mid-1880's, it had become a tourist destination due to the natural beauty of the area. Since 1915, the town of Grand Lake has served as the western portal to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Summer activities include boating, kayaking, sailing, water skiing, paddle boarding, fishing (including right off the point in Lemmon Lodge), trout fishing, golf, volleyball, horseshoes, biking, mountain biking, hiking and backpacking (including overnight) in Rocky Mountain National Park and horseback riding. This area is extremely popular with photographers in terms of both scenery and wildlife (including elk, moose and Osprey). Plus shopping, restaurants, the Rocky Mountain Repertoire Theatre, and museums.
The total sales and lodging tax charge on short-term rentals in Grand Lake increased in 2017 to 11%. The Town of Grand Lake announced a 1% raise in its sales tax (from 4% to 5%) in November 2016 in order to pay for improvements to streets, boardwalks, sidewalks, etc. The Town has stated that this increase is temporary, and that it will terminate as soon as practicable after the debt for these improvements has been paid off.
(Please, no pets and no smoking)

We’ve stayed at this cabin many times. It’s spacious yet cozy, well appointed and perfectly located. Love the private beach and the very short walk to Main Street.
The cabin was very clean, stocked with everything you need as far as bedding, towels, cooking implements. Great location in Grand Lake. Very comfortable!
A comfortable large cabin that easily accommodates a family, just a few steps away from all the great activities in Grand Lake. Very well managed and well appointed!

Very nice cabin with a lot of room. Wonderful location. Very helpful owner and property manager was very kind.
Was very surprised at the high cost of a boat slip after having paid for a cabin for 5 days…a big change from when we stayed at Lemmon Lodge years ago.
The house is very comfortable, sits along a running creek, private beach access, and can walk to downtown area easily. Plus, the property is less than 10 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park west entrance. We would come back again.

We had an amazing family experience
Only downside only 8 set of towels for 10 people
Ran out of garbage bags in 2 days. Found leftover clothes in main bedroom and items in the night stand I prefer not to state on line. I contacted the cleaner about the issues with no response.
This 4-BR home has with queen beds, and a fold-out queen sofa . It was fully furnished and had lots of dishes, pots & pans for cooking, and plenty of towels and paper products. Although there was a washer and dryer, the owner preferred that renters not use them. The house has 2 decks so we could enjoy morning coffee, or afternoon happy hour, sitting and watching the stream that flows next to the house. It was perfect for our family. We love Grand Lake and we were just a short walk into town. The house is part of Lemmon Lodge so we had full access to the beach where we swam and kayaked. Highly reommended.

The property was ideal for a young family. Loading kids in car seats was not necessary as everything was within walking distance. Loved the private beach and incredible views.
We arrived with 10 family members ranging from ages 77 to 8. We had 2 fisherman who loved being able to walk out the back door to fish in the river outlet. We also brought 2 kayaks and were able to walk a few houses down to put them in the river, to paddle the short distance to Grand Lake. Lemmon Lodge provided a private beach, volleyball and coin laundry facilities. We took several walks to the shopping area. The kitchen was great and well equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals. The loft upstairs worked out well with the sofa sleeper for our teenagers. Since our visit was in the summer the upstairs bedrooms became a little stuffy and we had to purchase a box fan to make sleepy more comfortable. One of our days was spent driving through Rocky Mountain State Park to Estes Park. We also enjoyed horseback riding and white water rafting.
We would truly come back for another vacation.
