Nestled in a charming private community and just a short stroll to both the beach and town center, Windhaven Cottage is ideally located in the beautiful seaside village of Ogunquit, Maine.

Once you arrive, park your car and leave your worries (and car keys) behind! The home’s location means there is no need to fight traffic or look for parking during your stay. Walk to the shops and restaurants in the town center in 7 minutes, or walk to the beautiful beach in only 10 minutes. You can also travel around town on the Ogunquit trolley, with a stop conveniently located just outside the entrance of the home’s private community.

Situated at the end of a quaint street and backing up to a wooded landscape, Windhaven Cottage offers a private retreat for you and your guests. With hardwood floors and well-appointed furnishings, you will feel right at home the moment you step inside. This property has 5 bedrooms (+ den with sofa bed) and 4 full bathrooms. With more than 3,000 square feet of living space, up to 12 guests can spread out comfortably. The fully stocked chef's kitchen includes a large island with stools for gathering, and the living room is the perfect place to relax with its serene wooded views. There is also a separate dining room, den, and a 2nd living room on the lower level with large sectional sofa and big screen TV.

Amenities include free Wi-Fi, cable TV with Netflix access, a movie library, games, children’s toys, and books to enjoy while relaxing inside the home. Outside you will find a patio and yard area with lounge chairs, dining table, and a Weber gas grill. The home also includes a beach cart, beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, and toys (boogie boards, etc.) for your trips to the beach. You will not find a more perfectly located and appointed home for a relaxing and enjoyable beach vacation.

Please note that pillows and quilts/comforters/blankets are provided, but bed sheets and bath towels are not included. Coordinate with Cottage Linens (a local company) to supply and deliver for a small fee or choose to bring your own.

Our multigenerational group has rented this property for three consecutive years, and it remains a favorite for all. We returned for the second year to this wonderful home, with our three generations. It is so comfy, clean, and has a great layout with plenty of space to spread out. Comfy beds, excellent quiet AC. One of the best houses in which I've stayed. Clean, pretty (both the house and the location), furnished with everything you could possibly need (including a Red Sox schedule on the refrigerator). Very responsive owners: A toilet that was clogged when we arrived got fixed within an hour.

I believe this is our fourth year staying in this house in Ogunquit! It is perfect for our extended family. We have big family dinners in the dining room. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Beds are comfortable and there is plenty of room for all. We can walk into town and go the beach without using our car which is so convenient. We’ve grown fond of this house and its location and look forward to coming back every year! The owners are very helpful and respond quickly to any questions you may have.

Great house near town!

We had a lovely stay with 2 families here in late August. The house is walking distance to town and in a beautiful perfect location. The house itself is very clean with well appointed bedrooms and decor, games for the family and a downstairs separate area with lots of toys for kids. A great spot for a family vacay!

Perfect for multigenerational family!

We stayed the week with my multigenerational family (10 people, infant to seniors). Home was very clean and organized- kitchen had everything we needed. Doug and Kevin were excellent hosts- we truly appreciated the children's items (step stools, toys, gates, highchair, dishes, pack and play). We traveled a long distance and it was so wonderful to come in to a home that was completely ready for us! We also loved the little nightlights for the back patio area- a small thing, but reflected such attention to detail. Thank you!!

We’re Doug and Kevin, and we’re the owners of Windhaven Cottage. We currently reside in Boston, MA, but we enjoy traveling and exploring new places whenever possible. Many years ago, in our travels around New England, we stumbled upon Ogunquit and immediately fell in love with the charming village and beautiful beaches. We were also intrigued to learn that we could escape from the city to an amazing seaside village in less than 1.5 hours. After vacationing in Ogunquit for several years and spending countless weekends exploring the Marginal Way, singing along at the Front Porch piano bar, and relaxing on the sand, we finally decided we wanted a home there to call our own.

Windhaven Cottage is more than just a vacation rental. It’s our second home, and we enjoy spending as much time there as possible. As a result, the property is well-loved and feels like home, which we believe will be evident during your stay. We hope you love it as much as we do!
