About this property
THE LOFT Modernised fisherman's cottage in old St Ives, Cornwall
The Loft is a 2 bedroom refurbished cottage, sleeping 4 people in one double/one twin bedrooms.
Situated in the old fishing quarter and conservation area of Downalong, the very heart of old St Ives full of twisting turning narrow streets scattered with many art galleries, great restaurants and fascinating architecture, completely enclosed by the harbour and surrounding sandy beaches.
The perfect location for surfing or lounging on the beach (Porthmeor beach is just 1 minute on foot), visiting galleries (the Tate is less than 2 minutes away) or for exploring St Ives (harbour, shops, restaurants, pubs all just steps away).
The upstairs living area has light and spacious kitchen/dining/living space and benefits from a small patio just off the kitchen, catching the sun for the best part of the day. For those colder evenings the gas log burning stove makes things nice and cosy!
Bookings are weekly Friday to Friday during peak periods.
Short breaks 3 nights+ available out of season.

About the host
Hosted by Alan

We have loved St Ives ever since holidaying here many years ago. After living in Birmingham and then London, we eventually managed to fulfil our dream and make the move to Cornwall. We now live in St Ives, and absolutely love it! Alan and Sharon
Why they chose this property
St Ives is a special town and Downalong is at its very heart.
The houses have history, the streets are narrow and higgledy-piggledy and absolutely full of character.
Added to that the fact that you are almost completely surrounded by sea, the harbour and beautiful beaches makes this area especially unique.

What makes this property unique
The cottage is located right in the heart of Downalong but benefits from being off the beaten track - through an old granite archway and into a quiet courtyard.
The perfect location for a relaxing holiday.
