Leadville’s Victorian homes were historically built quite close together in the days before the “horseless carriage.” As such, parking can sometimes be a challenge. Please take these things into consideration as you plan your trip, and be courteous to your local neighbors by trying to park directly in front of the home you have rented.
Staying in the mountains offers a unique and nature-immersed experience, characterized by a rustic charm. You might occasionally encounter some of the local wildlife, insects, and small critters that are part of the natural surroundings. We recommend keeping doors securely closed whenever possible. Rest assured, we've implemented thorough measures to ensure your stay remains undisturbed by these natural inhabitants.
Altitude sickness is real. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. We would definitely rent this property again! Clean, comfortable, spacious. Loved the picnic table and other amenities that made the vacation a real vacation.
The property was two very long blocks from the center of town - a bit farther than we’d expected but that error was on me. I should have checked more closely.
We sincerely hope to return to Leadville and Forget Me Not!

This house was perfect for our group of 4 friends. We ate breakfast and supper here and the kitchen had all appliances and dishes we needed. The 4 beds in 3 bedrooms and the 2 baths were what we needed, and the living room had great seating to sit and chat. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed Leadville. It was a great mini-vacation. Is the house new and modern? No, but that adds to the charm! Cute house, great location. We loved it.

Clean but run down
The house was clean and had the bedrooms etc as advertised. There was damage to the floor near the side/ back door that appeared large enough for mice/rodents to get in the house. There was also a section of the roof overhang that was in a state of disrepair. I knew the house was dated from the pictures and that isn't the problem. However, the furniture wasn't very comfortable. There were holes and tears in the linoleum in the bathroom also. Accessing the house was a hassle and confusing. I was given incorrect information to get into the house. The management was good about responding to my calls and it was fairly clean but I would not recommend this rental unless some repairs are made.
