Beautiful, peaceful, private home in the mountains. Near everything we wanted to see and do. Tammy and Joe were excellent, responsive hosts. Added bonus was Mittens the cat, the biggest frog we have ever seen, and numerous colorful gheko’s. Gorgeous sunsets and outdoor sitting, dining and BBQing. We hope to come back some day.

Absolutely lovely. Perfect location with an amazing view. Tammy was so sweet and easy to communicate with. The house was pure luxury with an amazing kitchen. We never wanted to leave. This definitely spoiled us for any other location. We can't wait to return.

The house was clean and all we had to do was bring in our luggage. The kitchen was fully equipped and had a beautiful view of Captain Cook monument. The hot tub felt wonder after a day of kayaking or hiking. And Mittens the cat was fun to have around.

We had a great stay. Beautiful property, beautiful view, gracious hosts, super clean, easy walk down to the bay, every amenity as described. The gardens are gorgeous. We also loved the mini ponies.

Everything about our stay was perfect. It had all of the amenities we needed and more. Waking up every morning to a symphony of birds, the faint sounds of waves crashing and a bedside view of the ocean was truly magical. The shower was amazing and we enjoyed the surplus of beach toys. Mittens was a bonus. What a sweet kitty!

Great location!

The guest house was clean and comfortable and nicely appointed. If you like to cook, the large kitchen has everything you might want. We especially enjoyed the location - both for the views and quiet (away from the hubbub of Kailua-Kona) and for the proximity to Kealakekua Bay.

Pictures didn’t do this property justice! The views were amazing. The house was spotless and the best stocked house I have ever stayed in. It was perfect having the hot tub and grill to relax each night. Mittens, the cat, was so sweet visiting each day.

Sunset paradise

This was a beautiful property both inside and out. The hosts had thought of everything from chocolate covered macadamia nuts to lovely facial products. The kitchen had everything you could desire, and the sunsets were stunning. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hosts, great location and great view

Everything about our stay was wonderful. Our hosts made a great effort to provide all the amenities that would make our stay easy and enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed the secluded location, the birdsong, and the geckos and other wildlife that visited from time to time. The location was also convenient for trips north to the beach and south to the volcanos. Should we make it back to the big island, we would happily stay at this same property.

Wonderful stay!

Joe and Tammy are great hosts. The house feels brand new with great sweeping views of the bay. Situated on 17.5 acres private from the main house. Plenty of room to spread out and would be a perfect escape for two couples. Would definitely come back!

Private Paradise!

Amazing stay, beautiful property, lovely hosts! Cannot beat the nearly 180 degree ocean view! We went on runs down to the nearby beach, said hello to the mini horses, and watched boats down in the bay. Would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you to Tammy and Joe!
