This is a beautifully designed and very clean cottage in the center of Grand Marais. We enjoyed the gas fireplace in particular. Love all the windows!

Beautiful Design!

The best rental I’ve ever stayed in. Well appointed and even more beautiful than the photos. Three blocks from the Grand Marais beach. Very close to restaurants and shops. Anyone who cares about good design will appreciate the details in this house. I can’t wait to return to The House of Light!

A Home up the Hill

Beautiful house and perfect location

The house of light was as promised. It was bright, airy and modern. The house had everything we needed for a long weekend stay in Grand Marais and the location in proximity to shops, coffee and the water was just right. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Fabulous setting

Everything about this beautiful house is spot on. Great location too! We were really delighted by the detain and privacy of this home. Very thoughtfully done! Being central in grand marais was a lot of fun. No car needed unless we we were out hiking.

Beautiful property in the heart of Grand Marais

This was one of the best VRBO stays we’ve had. The house was clean, conveniently located, and beautiful! The fireplace was wonderfully cozy. It had all the amenities we needed including a washer and dryer. The only negative was the gas stove cooks really hot and we had to adjust for that. We’re used to cooking with gas at home so it wasn’t us! All told, we had a great stay!
