Please note: The Security Hold/Deposit is $750 and VRBO/Homeaway does not collect but instead places a collateral credit hold for this amount, to be released in the event no claims are made, therefore VRBO issues no security refund. Please contact them directly prior to booking if you need further clarity.
Please note: VRBO will generate the cost of your stay when you enter dates and number of occupants, this quote is accurate and has already been adjusted to add taxable administrative fees above the owner's rental rate. The amount you pay to VRBO includes added VRBO and agency administrative fees (the added amount the Agency charges to book this property through VRBO). These added charges will not be reflected on your lease papers, as they are not part of the Lease Agreement between you and the homeowner, and so rates quoted here will reflect a rate higher than listed elsewhere. The rental rate that is noted in the body of the property description is the actual amount that will be reflected in the lease agreement; this amount is without added fees. Please let us know if you need further clarification. All bookings require a separate Lease Agreement and Lease Packet to be completed and signed by both parties within an Agency determined time frame after booking through VRBO/Homeaway to bind the reservation. Please do NOT initiate a request to book until we let you know we are ready, as it will either be declined, allowed to expire, or edited to a higher rate to include an added administrative fee, to cover associated VRBO penalties, since we'll need time to discuss your reservation with the homeowner. Thank you so much in advance for your patience and understanding.
Please Note: Rates are only quoted for the 2026 Season.

Beautiful property. Light-filled contemporary A-frame looking out on marshes and ponds. Isolated from other homes but only five minutes off of a main road on MDI. Comfortable beds and bedrooms, excellent internet. Good communication with property management company.

We are so pleased you enjoyed the property, thank you for being such excellent guests, we hope you return!!
We had an amazing time in the property. The views and home were great, we had little interactions with birds and local deer and turkeys, and everything was clean! Be sure to take a right into the property and not get confused by the similar address pointing left. Very thankful to get to stay there!

Thank you for being such wonderful guests, we hope you'll return!!
Property was beautiful and the view was breathtaking. The kitchen was well stocked. It was disappointing that the indoor and outdoor fireplaces were not to be used. The 9:00 am checkout was not a problem for us however it does seem earlier than most places we have stayed.

Thank you for being lovely guests, and for taking such great care at the house. We hope you can return!
The place was absolutely amazing. The swamp behind the house - we saw the impact of high tide and low tie, instead of bar island path. We wish to stay at the same place if we return to Acadia

Thank you for being such terrific guests, Babson Creek is a gorgeous estuary ecosystem, we’re so glad you enjoyed it and welcome your return anytime!
The house was exactly as described. Secluded location in a beautiful setting but close to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Everything was clean and comfortable. We were two senior couples and it was perfect for us. Also liked that there was a Freshies convenience store just down the road. Highly recommend.

Thank you for being fabulous guests, we hope you return!
We wanted some seclusion - peace and quiet - and this place perfect. Brand new beautiful home with a nice view of serene marsh. Real estate agent was great in helping us secure the home and we would most certainly return.

Thank you so much for being the nicest of guests, always welcome!!
We loved this modern and spacious home close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. It was a wonderful retreat surrounded by great views and nature. Clean, comfortable and welcoming, our only suggestion would be to add blinds to the bedroom windows for those guests that don’t always want to get up at sunrise.

This place was amazing. Near Bar Harbor but in the middle of natural beauty! We saw a bald eagle fly right by the main window!! Had an amazing stay with amazing food and amazing nature experience in Acadia. MDI real estate was really responsive. Easy arrival and departure..

Truly glad you had a great stay, and that you appreciate being immersed in all being here can offer. Thanks for being such great guests, we welcome your return anytime!!
The house is gorgeous, secluded, clean, and comfortable. The location was a quick drive to most of the places we wanted to visit. We arrived late and were a bit disoriented from a big day of driving. The host answered our call and got us taken care of so quickly. Thank you for letting us borrow your wonderful home for the week!

Thank you for being stellar guests!! We welcome your return anytime!!
We celebrated our 30th anniversary in Bar Harbor and Acadia. The trip was incredible and the house we stayed in was amazing! The home was comfortable and very modern. The privacy and seclusion were what we had hoped for, but it was still close enough to local amenities and sites we wanted to see. We enjoyed the wildlife that varied day by day and the sunsets and the stars at night made the home more pleasing. We highly recommend this home and are already planning a return visit. Communication with our host was also very smooth and they were great to work with. Thank You!!!!

We’re delighted you enjoyed your stay, thank you for being so wonderful to work with, and of course welcome your return anytime. Happy Anniversary!!!
The cottage house provided a calm respite from our daily adventures in Acadia National Park. We loved the peace and quiet. Books were read, games were played, naps were taken. This homes central location on Mt Desert provided easy access to the entire island. We did find ourselves wishing for AC as August brought some high temps. Otherwise, we felt very comfortable and had everything we needed.

We are delighted you had a great stay, and thank you for being such great guests!!
The property is gorgeous. The home is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The weather was hot the week we stayed. Even without AC, the Master bedroom on the main floorv was very comfortable. With the windows opened, the cross breeze was great. The top floor was a bit on the warmer side. Opening windows and using the ceiling and floor fans was a must to keep the temperature comfortable. The basement area stayed cool the whole week. The location to Bar Harbor and surrounding areas was perfect for us. Sitting on the large deck watching and listening to wildlife was very relaxing. We loved this property and highly recommend it to others!!

We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for being wonderful guests, we hope you return!
Great house in a convenient location to everything that bar harbor and Acadia has to offer. We were there the 1st week of August and it was a very hot week. The house really needs air conditioning. I understand that you can say that it’s rarely need in Maine but when you’re renting a single week in the heat of summer it matters. Also, there are no blinds or shades on any of the windows which is tough for your privacy. Other than that the house is brand new, in great condition, tastefully decorated and has a nice view of the woods and marsh.

We appreciate your feedback, it was such an unusually hot week! The acreage surrounding the house does offer complete privacy, which allows for a serene natural setting. Thanks for being such great guests!!
We loved the location and the views from the cabin are wonderful. Large windows so you can look out at the woods and marsh. The house was clean and well furnished. The beds were very comfortable. The house was so close to any day trips we wanted to make, yet nestled in the woods for peace and tranquility. We saw several turkey and deer during our stay.
Blinds that lift up during the day but can be pulled down at night in the bedrooms would be nice. Both for privacy and sun for those that are not early risers.
Internet was slow, especially at night. Works good in living room but not good for streaming movie or watching videos in the evening.
Disappointing that you are not allowed to use either fireplace. With the cool evenings it would have been nice to sit around the outdoor fireplace with a fire. Quick fix would be gas logs.
A stock or lobster pot would be nice for those who like to cook.
9:00 am check out is tough when not everyone is a morning person.

Thanks so much for your review, we really appreciate the feedback, and will take this into consideration, much appreciated! Thanks for being such great guests!
This is a GORGEOUS home on a pristine (if somewhat remote) piece of property.
PROS:
- Beautiful new construction, nice finishes throughout
- Beautiful views of trees and water
- Lovely deck
- Well-equipped kitchen
- Comfortable beds
- Lots of windows, views from every room
- Super responsive and friendly property managers
CONS:
This may be a pro to some, but we found the location VERY isolated. You have to go up a steep unpaved gravel road, deep into the woods, to get to the home. While extremely beautiful, it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere.
There are zero window coverings, which is awesome in the daytime, but at night you feel totally exposed. Especially in the bedrooms. If anyone were watching from outside they could see every move you make. That made us feel insecure, especially without a security alarm. We enjoyed our stay and overall it was a great experience, which is why we gave it 5 stars, but I would have appreciated knowing just how isolated the home was in advance.
Bring a sleep blindfold, since there is no way to block the morning light. Also bring some ear plugs because the birds are LOUD and they start the chorus at 4:00 in the morning and don't let up til late morning.
This is new construction and I imagine the owners will ultimately hire a decorator to bring the furnishing and decor to a level worthy of the beauty of the home itself. I would have loved to see a large TV mounted above the fireplace instead of a small one cramped in the corner, for example, and real art on the walls instead of cheap framed nature posters.
If you like camping, you'll LOVE this place -- it's a definite glamping experience. If you are a little intimidated by the whole deep-in-the-woods isolation as we were, you'll still probably enjoy it as we did, but it may take some time to acclimate.
