Beach Front House Near Jamaica Beach

Beach front Open and Airy Beach house. Enjoy our beach front location near 16 mile road and the town of Jamaica Beach. Half the time to the Strand then Pointe West homes! Another great feature of this home is the small grocery store directly behind the house. The kids love to walk over to get ice cream everyday.

The balcony on the front of our home is very large and it is covered! Sun or Shade take your pick. there is a Swing on the bottom covered area to enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean. Kids can play by the water without worries of cars driving by, there are no cars allowed on this area of the beach. The Beauty of the sunrise and the waves are just indescribable BEACH FRONT is the only way to go so come on and treat yourself and your family.

Pulled up and we loved the view! There is a swing downstairs you can swing with the ocean wind. Go up the stairs to a perfect view of the ocean. This is why we rented the house, private beach access, patio facing the beach. The beds were comfortable, bedding was clean. There are plenty of pots and pans. If you have a big family there is a TV in every room. I loved this place and we would rent again.

This was our 3rd stay at this beautiful property and like always it was a delight. It’s truly feels like a home away from home and it’s hard to beat cooking with a view of the ocean in a kitchen well stocked for all cooking needs! I can’t recommend this place enough. The photos in the VRBO listing aren't current or very accurate, which is a shame because the living room is actually much larger and nicely furnished. The second bedroom isn't pictured but has two beds. Also, there is a separate downstairs unit which wasn't even mentioned in the listing. It has multiple bunkbeds, a shower and a toilet. It has been updated or is new construction. We didn't find it until the 2nd day. The bathrooms on the upper floor are in dire need of updates/repairs. The primary en suite toilet didn't flush properly. It had to be jiggled and cajoled to flush. The showers/tubs need a deep cleaning at the least, redone or replaced at the most. Unfortunately, the house was not very clean. In fact, it didn't appear to be cleaned recently. My toddler grandbaby was found with a piece of popcorn in her mouth while playing in the living room. We didn't bring or have popcorn. The ceiling fans and furniture were dusty. The kitchen was well stocked, but the sink had a foul smell. Another huge concern: the mosquitoes were brutal. There is standing water in the driveway ditch and it is a breeding ground for them. The provided towels were subpar and reeked of smoke. I had to buy towels at the local WM. On a positive note, the sheets were clean and beds were comfortable. The deck was nice and had a great view of the ocean. I enjoyed early mornings watching my grands on the beach while drinking my coffee. Caution: Deck rail is wobbly! Family enjoyed the easy beach access.

Thanks for the response. Yes we have lots planned on updates and the we are always trying to update! The downstairs is new and not being rented at this time.We will update photos soon and start including it. Being beach front is a blessing but nothing can be done about the weather creating areas of standing water. Mosquitos do get worse if any north winds come in and they come from all the marsh areas on the bay side. Mostly 95% of the time the gulf winds are heading the good direction!!

The view / location is amazing ! However , the house needs some major improvements . The floors are about to fall in in several places . The bathrooms & bedrooms need A LOT of remodel help / TLC .
