About this property
Quiet 3BR Cottage • 9 Min to Acadia • Sleeps 6 • Pet-Free
Whether you're hiking Acadia National Park, exploring Bar Harbor, or discovering the quieter corners of Mount Desert Island, SeaStone Cottage offers a peaceful, comfortable place to come home to at the end of the day.
Nestled on a wooded lot in the quiet village of Town Hill, this pet-free, 3-bedroom, 2-bath cottage comfortably sleeps up to six guests. Its central location makes it easy to explore every part of the island. You're just 4.5 miles (about a 9-minute drive) from the Hulls Cove entrance to Acadia National Park, 7 miles from downtown Bar Harbor, and only 3.5 miles from Somesville and Southwest Harbor on the island's scenic "quiet side."
You'll also be less than a mile from Atlantic Brewing Company, the Town Hill Market, and a stop for the free Island Explorer shuttle, making it easy to enjoy the area without worrying about parking.
Inside, the 1,120-square-foot home features an open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area designed for gathering after a day of adventure. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, or you can enjoy outdoor cooking on the gas grill. Start your morning with coffee on the private deck, dine outside surrounded by gardens, and spend the evening relaxing under the stars.
Guests especially enjoy the home's library, stocked with Acadia guidebooks, local authors, maps, menus, magazines, novels, and board games for rainy days or quiet evenings in.
As a Mount Desert Island native, I've also created a welcome binder filled with my favorite restaurants, hikes, scenic drives, local businesses, and lesser-known places that visitors often miss. It's designed to help you experience the island like a local.
SeaStone Cottage is owned, managed, and personally cared for by our local family. We take pride in providing a spotless, thoughtfully prepared home and are always happy to answer questions or offer recommendations before and during your stay.
The cottage has a private entrance, parking for two vehicles, and exclusive use of the deck and yard during your visit.
Please note that the walk-out basement level contains a separate apartment with its own private entrance and parking area. This space is used by the owner as a property management and massage office and is not part of the vacation rental. The two spaces are completely separate to provide privacy for both guests and the owner.

The location was perfect. Close enough to Acadia and Park Loop Road, as well as Bar Harbor… but far enough away to not be in a congested area. The description was accurate and the property had everything we needed.
Our stay has been perfect. Everything is clean, organized, exactly as described. Location is great - 15-30 minutes from everything we wanted to do (except Schoodic of course). Thank you so much for a lovely stay. It was exactly what these three ladies needed for a week together. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed out stay at this unit and would use it again. The unit was clean, quiet and secure. While not in walking distance to town, it was easy drive to get where we needed to be. We would stay here again.
Great place to stay as location was close to Acadia and a short distance from Bar Harbor. Beds were comfortable and outside was very nice. Kitchen was stocked fairly well but there is no dishwasher.
Great property. Clean, comfortable, had everything we needed for our stay. Our family played board games, read the provided books, slept great in clean comfortable beds. Water pressure is excellent!
The house had everything we needed. It was close to everything we wanted to do. It was clean and quiet. You definitely can not beat the location if you want to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia.
The check-in process and communication from the owner was excellent. The kitchen had everything you'd need for a week's stay and internet access was easy and uninterrupted. The home was about 15 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and was easy to get to.
The rooms were as advertised and all was clean. We did have limited towels until we discovered the beach towels. After that we were good. The Host was responsive and helpful. Thanks for a great stay!!!
We were visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor and this property was a great location for that. It was quiet and close enough to town for easy access to restaurants and to the park
The house was in a great location for accessing activities, with Acadia NP, Bar Harbor, and the other towns on MDI within a short drive. The house was clean and quiet, with a good selection of reading material about local attractions.
We really enjoyed our stay. The property was well appointed with all the amenities we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the evening patio and was able to see fireflies in the evenings. The unit was super clean and comfortable. Our communication with the property manager was prompt. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We enjoyed our visit to Acadia NP and Bar Harbor.

Thanks so much for the great review! I'm so excited you saw the fireflies! We love being here in the peaceful woods, under the stars at night!
Our stay here was pleasant and comfortable. The house was clean and cozy and not far from town. It had everything we needed. Check in and out was simple.
Peaceful relaxing house close to Acadia and Bar Harbor
We enjoyed being a short drive to both Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing evening after a day of hiking or shopping. Affordable and clean. We would stay here again!
We spent a week in this great home while hiking and biking Acadia National Park. It was the perfect distance from the park and Bar Harbor. Amber was a great host and her property was exceptionally clean and very comfortable for four adults. If we ever vacation in that area again I will look to book this exact same home
Very convenient location to both Bar Harbor and South Harbor. Not far from the Carriage Trails and many hikes. The house was very clean, quiet and was a peaceful place to relax.
