This was our second visit and it was as wonderful as we remembered. Such a beautiful area and the villa is so comfortable and well equipped. Lots of thought from the fantastic owners has gone into the set up and communication is easy and responsive. We had a great time with lots of kayaking in the area and beautiful scenery/wildlife. The stargazing was out of this world! We cannot wait to return again.
A lovely property in a great location, lots of extras.. beautiful pool that was much needed in the extreme heat.. As a family of 5 we all had our own space, inside & in the garden area.We visited lots of the attractions in the area, canoed & enjoyed meals out.The local bakery is really handy & pizza Chris is delicious.Would definitely book to stay here again, the hosts were really informative & gave lots of hints & tips for the area.
Fabulous property which was situated near Aubetterre within the quiet village of Sainte Antoine-Cumond. Very clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We used the pool everyday which was great and a good size. Lots of activities in the area. Would not hesitate in returning.
Fantastic villa with amazing pool and in a lovely village. Care from the delightful owner and the lovely people who look after the property is exceptional.
We had a wonderful stay, this was our second time staying at this lovely house. Its in a great location, 5 minutes away from Aubeterre and not far from many other amazing places to visit. The village itself has its own little bakery that you can buy your daily bread, croissants etc, which is very handy and a lot of fun and is only 2 min walk. The beds are comfy, the area is quiet, the house is well equipped and is like a home from home. Communication with the owners is great. The best features about the house is the pool, the view and the cleanliness of the house. I can not recommend this house enough and I am sure we will be back.
We really enjoyed our stay. The pool was brilliant and the view was wonderful. The property is spacious and has everything you need and more…. Inflatables for the pool, board games etc. we would love to return again.
Extremely comfortable and well equipped. Immaculately clean. Pool is excellent, good size and in a lovely setting with views across countryside. Good quality outdoor furniture. We had a fabulous time. Plenty of good restaurants within easy distance.
We stayed for 1 week at Maisonette Noyer it was everything we need and more. Hosts David and Katherine replied quickly to our questions and supplied us with all the information we needed regarding the property and recommended restaurants and things to do during our stay. The property is modern, clean and spacious with the added bonus of a swimming pool. We can highly recommend Maisonette Noyer if your looking to stay in this area of France.
We had the most amazing stay. Communication with the owners was great and the local couple who look after the property are wonderfully responsive and helpful.
The owners have thought of everything with some great touches to make your stay comfortable and welcoming.
The night sky is truly spectacular and the local kayaking fantastic. The pool is a great size and we spent hours outside gazing over the wonderful landscape.
Fabulous memories made and we cannot wait to return next year!
Thank you so much for making our stay so special.
This is a great holiday property in a lovely location. Perfect for a family or two couples with 3 good size bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with showers and plenty of internal and external space. The pool is one of the best we have had over our many years of renting properties.
Quiet, peaceful location yet only 5 mins drive from Aubeterre-sur-Dronne and its river beach and only 15 mins drive from Ribérac with its large Friday market and good selection of large supermarkets and bakeries etc.
Plenty of canoe trips locally and many Dordogne tourist attractions to visit, we would recommend a visit to Brantôme and nearby Château de Bourdeilles.
This was the very best property in which we have stayed to date. Just one minus point: The cooker & hob need updating. One ring did not function, and I am used to induction cooking. The property details included a hot tub and the property does not have one.
This property has everything you need for either a well placed base or a relaxing day by the pool.
The three bedrooms are a decent size, and it’s great to have the second bathroom so we didn’t have to share with the kids.
The kitchen is well equipped, as is the rest of the house - you literally do have everything you need.
The photographs are accurate.
Pizzas Chris (2mins walk).
Auberterre (5 mins drive) River beach - SUP and canoe. Lots of choice for eating out (Hotel Perigaux - oysters were excellent)
About an hour drive;
Brantôme (Friday market).
Périgueux (use indigo app to park).
Saint-Émilion
We had an amazing holiday at Walnut house. The house is modern and clean, well equipped with everything you need and more. It has a lovely pool with a magnificent view. Its position is great being a few minutes drive from Aubeterre The photos shown exhibit the house to its true nature. We were a family of 4, including 2 teens, both really loved the house.and the activities near by. We went kayaking and visited the near by caves amongst other outings. We woukd definitely stay here again. The only improvement that could be made, is to use what 3 words to aid the accurate directions to the house as the map on the app does not take you to the house, rather it takes you to a near by car park. The owner does however provide accurate directions by email.
All in all, I would highly rate this house.
What a lovely house. Everything we needed was here and the layout of the house made for an extremely comfortable stay. The place was spotless when we arrived and everything is as described - especially the pool which was a good size. Warwick and Janie (the local agents) were brilliant - responsive and incredibly helpful.
The local area is lovely and there are a number of places worth visiting including towns, chateaux and places for walks. Aubeterre is an interesting place - worth following the suggested walking tour, which takes you to everywhere with a story.
If you have a family, there are plenty of eating places for pizzas and/or burgers. But we are a couple, and one of us is vegetarian, so there weren’t lots of places to eat, but we recommend Hotel du Perigord and La Taverne as the best places to eat in the town.
Overall, a brilliant and relaxing holiday made possible by such a wonderful house. Worth booking!
We had a lovely week at the property. The property was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need including extras such as games and pool toys for families. We loved the very spacious and bright open plan living area with a fantastic view out across the pool and the fields. There were lots of wildlife to spot outside too. Unfortunately the bakery was closed for their holidays whilst we were there and so we didn't get to sample its fare but had it been open it was only a 2 minute walk. We did make use of Pizza Chris' take away service which operates Wednesdays to Sundays - our daughter thought they were the best pizzas she had had and the owners were very friendly. The property is well situated being only a 5 minute car ride from Aubeterre which is a lovely and lively little town. It has some great restaurants and also a very safe river beach with cafe and play are and you can hire canoes from there too. We enjoyed visiting the Grand Etang nearby too for lake swimming and free canoe and SUP hire as well as good reasonably priced cafes and a good play area adjacent to the lake. Parking is free there too and so a good, cheap day out. We also visited Brantome and chateau Bordeilles, Saint Emilion amongst other places whilst also enjoying some family time by the pool. You do need a car to benefit from all the area has to offer around the property but it is an ideal base to do that that is particularly well suited to families.
We stayed here as a family of four for a week in August and had a lovely holiday.
The house looked great in the photos but was even better in reality! Lovely big, open plan loving area and great sized bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything you could possibly need has been provided and more! We spent the majority of time outside and the pool area is fantastic, with great views as you look out across the garden and out to the fields beyond.
The local area is lively, nice and quiet but with amenities really close by. The local bakers was really good and only a couple of mins walk from the house. Aubeterre is lovely and a great spot for meals out and less than 5 mins drive.
We would definitely stay here again!
Thankyou for such a lovely holiday!
There is nothing negative to say about this property, it's pretty much perfect for a family holiday. The pool is excellent, a good size and well maintained and the property itself has plenty of space. It has everything you need, and if there are any issues the owners/property manager will sort it out for you.
The village is very quiet, but Aubeterre is only a 5 minute drive away and has plenty of bars/restuarants in a beautiful setting. Further away, Perigeux, Angouleme and Bordeaux are within easy reach if you fancy some shopping.
This was our third visit to Maison Noyer and hopefully won’t be our last. The house and facilities are exactly as described, spotless and everything you need for a great holiday with family or friends. The pool is great for cooling off in a hot day before enjoying dinner on the terrace watching the sun set and listening to the crickets. Lots to do in the local area - visits to Brantome, kayaking on the Dronne, lunch in Aubeterre or head to Bergerac and visit one of the many vineyards.
We highly recommend this property.

beautiful property
beautiful house, modern equipement. beautiful pool, frequently maintained and cleaned
