If you want to stay at a personalized, homey cabin rather than a sterile rental then this is the spot for you. Gorgeous views, comfortable beds and sheets (basement futon was the best we’d ever slept on!). Perfect for a cozy friends weekend
My husband and I had a great long weekend exploring the beautiful area from the Maiden Rock cottage. Liz was great at communicating and shared ideas of things to check out in the area as well as a binder full of information at the cottage, Getting in was easy and the views, the birds and hummingbirds were spectacular! The cottage was well-appointed, clean and comfortable. We loved every minute there and would definitely go back!
Check in was a breeze. Liz communicated prior to check in all the things that we coupd explore as well as the ease of check in! We highly recommend this place- you have all the amenities needed to stay and visit. Clean, comfortable and ohhhhhh the views!!
The beauty of the property and location was great. Views of the rolling hills and water were awesome. The architecture of the house was fantastic. The space was so livable. We enjoyed our time thoroughly and will be back.

Great for any season
Super warm and cozy! A quiet and secluded spot to stay for a couple's weekend in the river valley. We enjoyed the overlook and a campfire at night. The home is well-equipped for a family stay.

Sarah, there are some ruts from a vehicle on the grass, do you know how that happened? Thanks, Liz
We really enjoyed the location (plenty of local things to do), the wildlife (the humming birds were great to watch), and the many fun things to do in the house (drawing with the art supplies). We disconnected for the weekend and just relaxed.
You can’t beat the views and location. The home is very nice and well stocked. My wife and I enjoyed the sauna and had fun playing ping pong and darts. It’s in a great location with plenty to do. We’ll definitely be back.
Can't say enough about the serenity and views. Beautiful home with large windows allowing near panoramic views without sacrificing privacy. Loved the songbirds in the mornings. We would come back!
We so enjoyed your home! Private, quiet, so so clean, well equipped, great view! Thank you so much! If we’re ever in the area again, we will definitely return!
The views were stunning. Quiet and relaxing area. We played ping pong and darts. Got to watch a childhood favorite movie on VHS and my husband loved it too. Would highly recommend a visit and would totally come again.
The home was a perfect little hide away. The views stunning. The sauna a great treat. We had everything we needed for a weekend get away. The birds were so entertaining. Only a hot tub would have made it better but not missed. Thank you for sharing your slice a heaven.
We came for visit to relax, recharge and have fun. This cottage was beyond our expectations. On so many levels it was amazing; from the view, to the furnishings and comfort and the beauty of artistic pieces throughout the cottage. Plus I have never seen a Vrbo so so well stocked with supplies. The view above the treetops was the best. Thank you for sharing this special place.

Very unique home with awesome windows and a great, comfy bed. Access is all hard surface roads. ( I thought there might be some gravel ). The home is nicely furnished. The downside is the overall cleanliness was sub par. The nightstands were dusty, under the bed was dust bunny heaven, the counter tops not very clean, fridge, freezer dirty too, with lots of red ants around the toaster oven, grass hadn't been mowed for 3 weeks? No Wifi, TV or microwave. Needs the TLC that the house and location deserve.
We met our daughter from St Paul for a long weekend. There are great views of the Mississippi/ Lake as well as the hills of gorgeous green. Birds galore at the feeders. Located at the end of the neighborhood street but private and peaceful. Large lot. Comfortable beds and plenty of room for three.
Our biggest disappointment was the cleanliness, especially in the kitchen. Felt like the cleaning service did not show up before our stay and we had leftover grime and dirt from the previous guests.
Nearby Stockholm is small but very quaint, great pie and a wonderful bakery. Loved the Scandinavia shop. No nearby grocery.
Limited hiking.
We have booked this unit a number of times. It's a great little house.

Overly quiet neighborhood and lots of ants.
Beautiful location. My fiancée and I were there alone and got scolded for having music by the fire. Were told it was a quiet neighborhood. No tv inside and no music aloud at night. Kitchen was overran by ants. Basement ping pong table was covered in dust when we tried to play. Great place if your only intention is to be quiet inside.
