- The whole property is constructed of traditional adobe material. The building blocks are made of dirt, dried grasses, and water, mixed together and then dried into bricks in the sun. The resulting building materials were then used to create these striking homes. There is a mud plaster finishing layer on the walls for an authentic look

It was a spacious room, with it's quirks accurately described. The enclosed courtyard was delightful. The host was interesting to talk to.I was confused by the winery question, it was not applicable to our stay.

The house was very dark inside and the kitchen area was not clean. Had to wash dishes and utensils and the coffeemaker before using. In general it just didn't seem especially clean so that was the major bummer for the price and the overall experience. Host seemed nice but not overly concerned with neatness. Location great close to town so that was nice. Was expecting something different from the photos on the vrbo site.

The studio apartment was roomy, delightful and just a tad quirky. The apartment is a rebuilt barn adjacent to the owner’s home. The toilet and the shower were built into the space and are serviceable but snug. However, we loved the place! Jim, the owner, was wonderful and responded to our every need. We spent every evening in the shared space courtyard, reading and enjoying an adult beverage. Sometimes with company from the other tenants, or Jim, or Henry the eighth (Jim’s 19 year old cat).

Not the best for a summer stay

I really liked the property and access to the Plaza area of town. The property manager was great and very responsive to our requests. The only issue we had was with the evaporative cooling system used for the room. It did cool the room somewhat but also made the room humid enough to where our bathing towels didn’t ever really dry out before we needed to use them again. The lighting in the room is a little dim as well, so reading or putting on makeup is difficult.

We had a great time in Santa Fe and staying this studio was part of that. It was nice to be able to walk to the downtown area and then return to the shaded and cool patio. The area was very quiet and Jim was a great host.

Cons out weighed pros, we left early

Truth in advertising is lacking. Pros: a very nice host, a great location, and an artful "handcrafted vibe" with an adjacent courtyard. We felt welcomed with our petCons: One expects a bathroom. There isn't one.There is a wall not in the photo, along the bedside, that has a narrow sink, a narrow WC closet, and a small shower stall. If you are tall or have any physical restraints, it is difficult to go in, sit without leaving the door open at first, and rise without hand rails. No bending or elbows in the shower. Summer cooling was via a swamp cooler and fan, keeping it in range, but not able to reach where the bed is. Might be fine for some, but advance notice should be made.

Two weeks in Santa Fe

My husband and I stayed in this lovely studio centrally located within a short walk to the plaza. Our host was friendly and kind. We used the communal outdoor area every morning while we had our coffee. We were also very fond of the owners cats who sometimes came out to visit with us. We are going back in October and hope to stay here again.

Mr. Relyea was very gracious and hospitable. He gave us great tips and suggestions of what to visit in Santa Fe. The apartment was great - as it turn out Mr. Relyea made the furniture in the apartment, which is beautiful. He is quite a talented man. We had a great stay and would recommend this apartment.

Rustic and funky

The location was wonderful. We walked everywhere. The studio itself was great for us. We are outdoor people and the rustic, funky feel suited us quite well. The price of the rental was less than the other places we looked at, so we didn’t expect a pristine and perfectly decorated place. We really liked it and will stay again. It is true that there are no large windows, but it is well insulated and really holds the heat if you visit in the early spring or fall.

Perfectly located, funky like Santa Fe

The location is perfect for walking to restaurants, galleries and shopping. The Plaza is only minutes away. The place is small’ish, but perfect for two people. It’s up a dirt road, which adds to the charm and gives you the feel of the country, with everything at your doorstep. Jim is a great host and this is a nice place for a visit to Santa Fe

A Nicely Decorated Adobe House

I had a great time staying at this Adobe house in Sante Fe. The owner is very nice and he let me bring my dog. Sante Fe is a cool city, known for its Adobe style architecture, and staying here lets you experience that for yourself. The interior of this studio apartment / efficiency house is decorated with a neat New Mexico or Western theme. The kitchen is small though big enough for me to cook tasty meals. The bed is comfortable and I slept well. The location is good too. It was a short drive to many attractions within the city of Sante Fe. I recommend you stay here if you are a single person or a couple on vacation in Sante Fe.
