The village of Seal Harbor rarely has Rental Units available and this is perfect for groups wanting easy access to the Park while still being very close to downtown Bar Harbor.

-There is a chance noise can be heard from passing vehicles on the Main Road, though this is not a commonly used road for Commercial Vehicles

-Seal Harbor is a sought after location due to its location to different Entrances into Acadia National Park and the Seal Harbor Beach, however there is almost no stores in the local area to shop and restock things. There is one restaurant in Seal Harbor that is open 5 months of the year and that is about all.

-This home is very close to Acadia National Park and cell phones have very limited Service for making calls or accessing internet without connecting to the Unit`s WiFi Network depending on your cell service carrier

-Pets ARE NOT allowed at this Unit

-This unit is an apartment on the 2nd Floor

Beautiful apartment, comfortable bed (bedroom faces the street), and great shower. Nice location near Lighthouse Restaurant. Kitchen has new utensils and plenty of cookware for making meals, just make sure to bring spices and extra coffee. Also, there is no hair dryer. Would stay here again.

The manager wouldn't send the check-in information until late in the day, and I had to double back to get cell phone reception to get the details and the door lock number. I requested this information several times on the day of check-in, so it was frustrating. It seemed like we were the first people to stay there after a fresh makeover, and there was no hot water for the shower the first morning there. They resolved it by that afternoon. The apartment was nice, clean, and well done, and except for these issues, I'd recommend it.

There was confusion with the guest communicating via Email while we were on the App that caused a delay on the day of Check-In but they were assisted once they reached out and called. The Hot Water Issue was resolved right away on the first night and we issued a partial refund as an apology for the inconvenience,

As a self proclaimed persnickety person, I couldn’t find fault with anything! From booking to check out, everything went extremely smoothly. The Notebook is just far enough away from the maddening crowds of Bar Harbor but is extremely close to an entrance to Acadia that takes you right to the best attractions without traffic and to what felt like a private beach. The apartment was bright, clean and well appointed. Communication with Maebeth Property was unparalleled. My questions were addressed almost immediately. I highly recommend The Notebook and extend my thanks to Maebeth for making our experience so pleasurable.
