Hi to all, Both myself and my little mate chase (very friendly blue heeler) welcome you to Brett,s Rest, a 1.7acre property consisting of two lovely cabins and a managers office . Plenty of room to enjoy a peaceful nature filled hoiliday. Ill be there to welcome you ,show you the extra add ons and information to make your stay more enjoyable.On a private property Nel cabin is a colorbond cabin set up for great holidays. Cool bar with lights, dart board for family fun, warm fireplace for romantic evenings and a blind that when its raised shows you the view of the land and star filled skies. Close the blind for a more intimate laid back eve with music or movies with complimentary wifi.
Close to town, beaches, local brewery and gin distillery.
Please note there are 2 cabins on the property.

Great for a small family getaway

Loved our stay here. There was plenty of outdoor space for our busy kids and kelpie to run rogue. Under 5 min drive from the KI brewery. Not far from Kingscote town either. And the surrounding sound system was fun to disco to with the family. Definitely coming back.

Dirty

There was a bar counter, but it was quite dirty and we didn’t want to touch it. We planned to cook in the oven, but it was broken and we couldn't use it. The manager should let us know it in advance. The lights in the room with the kitchen were out of order, so we had to eat dinner in the dark. In the introduction photo, there is a washing machine in the bathroom, but it does not actually exist. There were 3 of us, so one of us used the sofa bed, but there was no bedding, so I had to sleep with only a sheet in the cold.

Well I'm sorry to hear this. I left for a holiday and this happens. Circuit broke so light went out. There were doonas under the sofa bed and a heater beside it .I just don't know why you didnt let us know ,could have been fixed. Shame you didn't enjoy the fireplace or 5 1 surround music,sat under the stars with the fire pit. This is new ,things need to worked out.and this information will be sorted no question.

Bday Trip

There are a few minor issues, that I came across. Unknown to me or the other neighbours upon speaking to them they didn't know the place had another cabin on the property, I, like them thought we had our own fenced off areas.. the laundry sink was dirty.. I didn't use the bar as it had a very dusty layer off dust. Cob webs minor but alot.. some of the dishes were not cleaned properly. Had no idea how to use the sound system, lol.. I couldn't for the life of me light the fire, Reasons for extra matches and firestarters. Lol. All in all I had a lovely quite stay. Just minor issues which I'm sure are easy to rectify. Thank you Brett, will recommend..

Hi Vivian. Glad you enjoyed the stay. Just to mention ,I did say if there are any queries to let me know I could have set the sound system if you had difficulty, also in first message sent to you when booking it clearly states there are two cabins on site , and I'm sure you still felt like you had a peaceful stay. I have a new cleaner as I too wasn't happy with last. Laundry sink is stained ,can't take paint residue out. If there was any problem you could just let me know. I would have fixed it. But 8m sure the property gave you a lovely time. Cheers
